I’ve been reading Tim Ferris’s book
"The 4 Hour work Week," and it’s a MUST have!
It turns all of your assumptions about life
and work inside out. And there are so many gems of information
that can literally transform your life. But I noticed that I found
it a little scary - what would I do if I actually had that much
time? I’m not really sure because the truth is that songwriting
was never work! We just had fun!
I’ve never been one for golf and my work
has always been my life-inseparable. Tim also makes you look at
the reality that it is not all about money, either - he was making
$70,000 a month and he was miserable because he was a slave to his
company. So think about this! It’s not about how much you make;
it’s about how much you enjoy life and how much you keep.
My husband as you may know has been dealing
with shingles. We’ve been together over 20 years and he’s
quite a bit older than I am. We’ve worked hard, always putting
off fun for later. This
was a wake up call. It’s time to make time to enjoy life now
while we still can!

How to Write a Guarantee that Virtually Eliminates Refunds!"
You
email an announcement to your subscriber list and place a solo ad in
a popular ezine to promote a new ebook. A significant number of
readers click through to your website to see what it's all about,
and a good percentage commit to a purchase right away. That's
every marketer's dream!
But some readers are not as confident about buying from you because
they don't know you well enough to make a snap buying decision.
Others may never have heard of you at all. Even though your
website's copy is compelling and the ebook promises to deliver the
benefits they are looking for, they still have some nagging
reservations.
So how do you get those "fence-sitters" to make the right
choice and purchase your ebook?
The answer may lie in your guarantee. The whole point of a guarantee
is to put your prospects at ease about buying from you. As a matter
of fact, people are more concerned about not getting the information
and solutions they expect to find in a product than they are about
not getting a refund. They really want to be assured that they
aren't being suckered into buying a bill of goods.
Buyers have become accustomed to promises that say "100%
Money-Back Guarantee" and they understand what that means on an
intellectual level, but when it is presented in that generic
fashion, it lacks power and does nothing to assure them of the
product's quality.
A more effective way to stimulate confidence in your ebook is with
your guarantee.
You want to assure your buyers that you stand behind your product,
that you guarantee their satisfaction, and if for any reason they
are still not happy, they can count on a full refund.
Another tactic that works very well to calm buyers' concerns is to
offer your guarantee for a sufficiently long period, so they won't
feel rushed. Statistics show that the longer the guarantee period,
the fewer returns you get.
It is also important to use words in your guarantee that hook the
reader emotionally, like: you have nothing to lose and satisfaction
guaranteed.
The stronger your guarantee, the more confidence potential buyers
will have about making a purchase. Use as many elements as you can
to put them at ease. Reassure them every step of the way and
highlight the benefits they can enjoy from owning your product. Once
you have made it clear and they are satisfied that you have assumed
all the risks, they will be much more inclined to buy your ebook.

Q: Creating
the right title! I've got everything else but the title is bugging
me! I have a website for my business and this eBook will be very
beneficial in attracting new customers so I want it to be catchy, to
the point, and let them know it is different than any other ebook or
book of a similar nature. HELP!
A:
Try
to come up with a concept that readers immediately understand and
can identify with using words your audience understands - nothing
that they have to look up, just every day words.
You
can let readers know that your book is different by working the
benefits the reader will get into the title. The way you want
to structure it is if they do A, they will get B. Another
technique is to use a short title that is easy to remember, followed
by a long subtitle that includes benefits.
Using
numbered steps and time limits and words that pique curiosity or
promise change are also good strategies when creating your title.
