Seasons Greetings!
When I hear about families who have lost
their homes, with no money for holiday gifts
and thousands of people showing up at food banks it makes me sad
for them. I know what it's like
to have a lousy holiday season. And I don't want anyone to
feel the way we felt last year.. After making a 6-figure
income, my business stopped cold.
The news kept saying their was no recession
but I knew better. I had 4 really bleak months (but it wasn't
totally the economy, I also had a huge problem with 1 Shopping
Cart and missed out on 6,000 subscribers-due to a shopping-cart
problem) and I didn't know if we would survive.
We had NO money for gifts or celebrating;
we were barely hanging on. But we not only made it through, we
had a great year with December being our best month of the year!
So I am thrilled to be back on track and able to share with
others.
It
felt really good to do some good old-fashioned holiday
shopping this year! The best thing I love to do is pick up a
gift for someone I've never met. I usually buy at least
one gift for Toys for Tots and I get great joy from that. This
year I bought a medley of Dr. Seuss books and I
can't wait for some wide-eyed child to open it on Christmas
morning! Unfortunately I was appalled when Christen and I went
to our local fire station and saw how few gifts there were. So
if you can afford to, please take a toy to your local Toys for
Tots drop off. It's well worth the effort if you haven't
already.
Or
try to share the holiday spirit with someone less
fortunate. It will not only make them feel good, but it will
make you feel even better! And if you're having a rough time,
hang in there and keep showing up and I promise it will get
better!

How to
Sell an "Unbelievable" Program
(What to do when people don't believe your program
or workshop does what you KNOW it does!)
I recently received
an email from one of my JV partners and under his signature he was
promoting a book-writing course that promised to help people write a
book in 14 days. So I wrote back and inquired why he’d want to
promote a course that took 14 days when people can take my
Quick-Start 3-Day eBook Authoring Workshop and learn how to write an
ebook in 72 hours or less and then turn it into a book?
He replied that the
offer has to be believable. Now in all fairness to me, a lot
of people think it’s very believable to write an ebook in 72 hours
or less, especially after they’ve attended my free preview calls
for my workshop. But affiliates don’t usually come to those calls.
So that left me thinking how do you make
sure people believe a program that works if it “seems”
unbelievable? I came up with the following list.
- Tell
the truth about your program.
Don’t inflate your results, because it will backfire.
When I do my preview calls for my writing workshop I always say
that how far someone gets in the workshop depends on how
motivated they are, how clear they are about what they are going
to be writing about, how long they’ve been thinking about it
and how much material they’ve already got before it starts.
Some people will learn the process and get it done, some
will have a first draft, and some will learn the process but
have to continue working on
it after the workshop. It depends on the individual.
- Be
sure to educate your affiliates about your program so it becomes
believable to them (especially if it seems too good to be true,
but is). If they don’t believe it, they aren’t going to
promote it and even if they did, they aren’t going to convince
anyone to sign up so it won’t do you any good!
- Collect
great testimonials with real results from your students or
clients. And make sure they have pictures whenever possible, as
well as audio, a website, and give their hometowns.
If you don’t show real results, it looks like people
either haven’t actually taken the course or workshop, or they
didn’t get good results.
- When
you give preview calls (and you definitely should if your
program doesn’t seem believable to the uninitiated) and in
your sales materials, you always want to address people’s
frustrations and how your program solves their problem(s) That
will make it more believable. Also note: calls
that just give information don’t convert as well as calls and
sales materials that explain the benefits of your program and
how it solves the problems your potential participants are
experiencing.
- Address
people’s fears. People can become overwhelmed at the thought
of writing an ebook in 72 hours or less, which could stop them
from taking the workshop. If your program seems to good to be
true, you could have the same problem. The way I get around this
is by explaining that while it’s a 3-day program, the
actual writing time is just 12 hours over a 3 day period, which
feels much more doable. So you have to be able to break it down
to something that seems reasonable.
- Do
a “Question and Answer" call to answer your prospective
student’s/client’s questions and concerns so that anything
that didn’t get answered either on your sales page or in your
preview calls gets covered so they can get clear and make the
right decision for them. They can’t do that if they are
confused by any aspect of your program or workshop.
- Have
a generous money-back guarantee and be clear about it so people
feel comfortable moving forward, but also so there is no
confusion over who can get a refund and what the rules are. If
you’ve done everything you can to put people at ease and they
still aren’t sure, especially when they are paying a chunk of
change, the money-back guarantee can be the difference between
making and losing the sale.
So if you have a
program or workshop that is so effective that it sounds unbelievable,
be sure to follow these 7 steps to make sure that you convert as
many potential student’s/clients as possible so you can help as
many people as possible, because after all isn’t that why you
created it?

Should I pdf my ebook?
A: Absolutely!
If you were to just send your ebook out in a word document anyone
could cut and paste and change it any way they wanted to and/or
steal it. So by turning it into a pdf you are protecting your
material and keeping it's integrity. And it's easy to send it out in
pdf - plus it's the industry standard.
Q. Where do I start selling my ebooks other than
Clickbank?
A: Whether it's on
Clickbank or on your own site or other people's sites , people have
to know you, like you, and trust you before they buy from you, or they
have to be referred to your product. Or you can make sales
through having a hot topic at the right time with a good
pay-per-click campaign .There are a lot of ways to start selling
