“We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But, if that drop was not in the ocean. I think the ocean would be less because of that missing drop. I do not agree with the big way of doing things.”

-Mother Teresa .

Letter from the Editor

Happy Father’s Day! My dad has been gone for 20 years, but I think about him often. He loved the finer things in life, but he was very down-to-earth and a bit eccentric. He drove a Ferrari for a while-it was given to him instead of payment from a client and he dug it. (He was an attorney with his own solo practice.)  Then,  he drove a Rolls Royce for a while, but he never became rich.

He always had to work hard and it eventually killed him. But, while he was here, he knew how to have a good time and he believed in quality over quantity.

He also loved to gamble. My parents played the ponies and dabbled as horse owners until it got too expensive, and they loved to go to Vegas. They also loved to travel and we spent many Christmases away.  It was difficult to shop for my dad ’cause he pretty much had everything he wanted (except freedom).

But, one year, Christen and I bought him this T-Shirt at the Wine House; it had a black background and it said, “Life is a Cabernet”; he was a big wine drinker; He LOVED that shirt and, we were thrilled that he did! We scored a big win!

My dad and I were very close, and I miss him every day. If you still have a dad, be grateful and show your appreciation, if you are a dad, congrats! That’s awesome. And if you are missing your dad, like I am, be grateful for the time you had together and send him some love! That is what I am going to do. <3

In business news: I’ve got a new special report we’ll be launching this coming week, How to Become a Bestselling Author in 1/2 Hour! So stay tuned for that!

In other business news: I got one of the lessons done for eBook Marketing Mastery and then the very next day, found out that Zuckerberg changed things up and it was no longer a workable strategy. It just shows you how fast things can change online, so you need to stay plugged in to stay on top of it and since you already have work to do, unless you are in Internet Marketing, I hope you read this newsletter each week!

In personal news: My nephew, Remy, graduated from U.C. Santa Barbara, and I’m so proud of him. He didn’t have a great childhood. My brother and his mother divorced when he was young and my parents died so they weren’t around to pick up the slack. Plus, his mother wasn’t too stable.

His sister, Alex, has also been doing great! She’s won kudos for being a great employee at Home Depot, and she is on her way to U.C. Santa Barbara in the fall.  They are actually twins, but she’s been working and writing; it’s in the genes!

That’s it for now….

6 Tips For Getting The Most Out of Your Facebook Live Videos

Facebook Live is the newest way to live stream video, and I believe it will be the standard and do much better than Periscope for two reasons.

1. It’s easier to use than Periscope-it doesn’t have the glitches that Periscope has. All you have to do is go to status update, click on the broadcast icon ( a head inside a circle), add your title, and hit the “Go Live” button, and it’s showtime.

2. It’s Facebook, the largest social-media network in the world with 1 1/2 BILLION monthly active users.

Here are 6 tips for best results:

#1. Promote your broadcasts before going live
You can share your live broadcast with your personal network, on a fan page, in a group, or event. But, before you do a broadcast, let your market know that you are going to be doing it. You can also advertise as you would for any upcoming teleseminar, webinar, launch, event or anything else. You can also boost your posts with Facebook Ads. Unfortunately at this time, you can’t stream across all pages, but there is a piece of software that will allow you to. Click Here to access it.

#2. Be Prepared and Practice Your Presentation
Get a tripod for your smartphone if you don’t have one already. I use this one:

Live streams tend to be raw and unrehearsed, but you don’t want your audience to be distracted or unable to hear, so minimize both visual distractions and background noise.
Make sure you have a strong phone connection.
Next, create an outline of your talk.
And do a practice run  (You can do this by setting it to “Only Me” so you are the only one who can see it. Then, change to “Public” before going live.)

#3. Be Authentic
Show up as your best self. Relax and be sure to smile. People buy from people they know like and trust. You want them to get to know you, like you, and trust you and that will be difficult if you are uncomfortable.

#4. Engage Your Audience
Ask for comments and feedback.
If you want to converse with your audience during the broadcast, you will have to be in front of a computer so you can see them. Or, have someone there with you who can watch the comments and work with you.

#5. Market Your Videos
First, make sure it looks good. If you don’t like the thumbnail, you can change it; you can also change some of the metadata. Next, you can market it from the archive page, so you can continue to send people to watch it after the live stream and get a lot more than on your video live.

#6. Analyze Your Results
Keep track of what time of day you broadcast and what you talked about. Then, check your stats to see how each video is doing. Facebook Live gives you two new metrics: the total number of people who watched at least part of the video and how many people you had at certain points during your live stream and the per cent of those people who were engaged. And, if you don’t get the results you wanted or expected, just keep going. There is a compound effect of multiple efforts.

Creating Funnels

Did you know that if you are using Infusionsoft, you can copy and
reuse campaigns or pieces of campaigns. That means that once
you create it, you save a ton of time! I didn’t know that until

I was talking to my web designer about a campaign
I had created in Infusionsoft and she told me!

If you’ve worked with me, you know that
I also use Optimize Press and highly
recommend it because it’s a one-time
only cost whereas the others a monthly.

If you want to get into Infusionsoft,
let them know you want to sign up
under me. Then send me your receipt and
I’ll do a complimentary call and help you get started.

If you don’t have Infusionsoft already, and you have some
bucks to spend, you can also check out Click Funnels from
Russell Brunson. I took one of his programs and he is one of the best.

For a cheaper version, check out 10-Minute Funnels.
Alex Mandossian is part of this team and I have
worked with him extensively over the years, so
I can vouch for this one as well.
