Why I Love Donny & Marie And How It Can Help Your Internet Marketing!
When I was a teenager I was NOT into Donny and Marie, thank you very much! I grew up on the Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Led Zepplin, James Taylor, Carol King…..I think you get the point! But today I’m coming out of the closet. I love Donny and Marie. But I admit it doesn’t really have anything to do with their music.
I’ve been through Marie’s divorce, her battle with postpartum depression, her weight issues, the suicide of her son, and the death of her parents. And I’ve watched her on Dancing With The Stars, fainting and all, and Donny too (In fact, he’s sooo likeable and such a good entertainer, I was rooting for him to win-which he did!). I’ve also seen Donny protect Marie and defend her and they are very REAL.
They sit down with Mary Hart on Entertainment Tonight and tell her what’s really going on in their lives, they don’t seem “Hollywood” at all. They are very LIKEABLE. And because they seem very genuine I also TRUST them.
Now if you’ve been online for any length of time, you’ve probably heard that what’s important is that people know, like and trust you.
So they’ve definitely succeeded in that arena. In fact, I like them so much as people, that I would love to go to their show in Las Vegas-something that would have horrified me growing up!
And if I went to their show, and I liked what I heard, who knows maybe I’d even buy a CD!
But the point is that when you are real, when people have the opportunity to know you like you and trust you, they will buy from you. If Donny and Marie could get me to buy show tickets trust me, it will work for you too!
