Looking For eBook Launch JV Partners? Think What’s In It For Them.
I was working with a student on his JV email that he will have his launch partners send to their lists and he started out by telling them what a great product he had and that that was why they should promote it. But that’s the wrong approach. Until you let people know what’s in it for them, they aren’t going to care no matter how great your product is.
The best approach is if you can find out what will excite them. Play detective. Read about them, subscribe to their newsletters, if you get the chance to meet them, talk to them but more importantly really listen to what they have to say and they will be more than happy to tell you what floats their boat.
If it’s money, emphasize that first. If it’s giving more value to their subscribers then start there. Or maybe they are interested in feeding the hungry or some other charity that you could make a donation to in exchange for their help.
So find out what will make them want to partner with you and you’ll not only have a much better chance of bringing them on board for this one launch but for life!
