FAQ#2: What is the least amount of pages you can write and still have credibility?
What is the least amount of pages you can write and still have credibility?
What I tell people is if you wrote an ebook and it was just 3 pages and it taught people how to make a million dollars and it worked every time, people would pay a lot of money for that ebook but What will happen is, people want to know that they are getting value for their money and they tend to do it by weight-so the size matters to people.
So what I always say is the optimum ebook is 80-120 pages. But you can have 150 pages, you can have 200 hundred pages but people generally don’t read over 200 pages. Now I know there are ebooks out there that are over 200 pages and they tend to be reference books.
But now with Kindle and ebooks exploding, really people are doing whatever they want. But I think the best is 80-120 pages and the reason is that people are going to print them out and it’s going to cost them money in their ink and paper-so you want to be aware of that. (Also people want their information fast and concise and 80-120 pages is best because it’s long enough to give value and short enough to be easily digestible.
