How to Write The Right eBook (or Book) Every Time You Write!

Tuesday, November 12th, 2013

handbooks-300x217Knowing what it is you are trying to achieve is critical when choosing what type of ebook to write. Most people just dive in and start writing without considering their goals. Then, they get frustrated when their ebook doesn’t live up to their expectations. When you pick the right ebook to achieve what it is you want to achieve, you’ll be in a much better position to succeed. The information below will help you to figure it out and armed with this information, you’ll be way ahead of the game!

The 3 types of ebooks are:

#1. Influencer or Thought-Leader eBooks
When you want to be seen as THE expert in your field, write ebooks that showcase your expertise. The first one should be an overview of your business, one that gets people to not only explain your business, but also gets people to know you, like you and trust you, so they’ll want to do business with you. Additional ebooks or books may go into more detail in specific areas of your business.

#2. Interview eBooks. These are ebooks where you interview a series of experts on a single topic or related topics that make sense to compile. This is the best choice for list-building and to make big profits from your ebook (assuming that you get interviews from people who have large targeted lists in your market). You can also use a series of interviews that you’ve done yourself to write an ebook, but that falls more under category #3 below.

#3. Easy Extra Money eBooks. These are ebooks repurposed from other mediums. They might be from Q & A’s, blog posts, newsletter articles, autoresponders, podcasts, webinars, or videos. They are compilations; information that can again be grouped together on a single topic or related topics.

Before writing or creating an ebook or book, decide what it is you are trying to achieve. Then, pick the best vehicle for achieving your goal.

Authors Fear #7: I’m Not Good Enough

Sunday, November 10th, 2013

notgoodenough

Introduction:
When I got online, I was naïve enough and confident enough to think that I could succeed and so I did….to a point. But, as I came up against certain challenges and what I perceived as failures, I found myself becoming frustrated and scared.

I was afraid to take risks like the ones that got me to a 6-figure income in the first place because some didn’t pan out and they cost me money and shook my confidence. And others made me look bad when my JV partners didn’t reap the benefits I had promised based on past performance.

In fact, I’ve suffered from almost every one of these fears at one time or another and I’m still in the game. So, I wanted to share my thoughts with you in this 8-part series, so you can keep moving forward in your business in spite of your fears.

Fear #7 I’m Not Good Enough.
This is the trickiest fear of all because it’s not always clear that that is what you are feeling plus, people suffer from this to varying degrees. But, if you see yourself in one of the following descriptions, it could be holding you back from the success and lifestyle you deserve.

Signs That You Don’t Feel Good Enough
If you constantly compare yourself to others, and end up feeling that you aren’t as good, as rich, or as successful than they are-you are suffering from not feeling good enough.

If you downplay your skills and abilities or make negative comments about yourself like “I’m so fat”, or “I’m so stupid”-you are suffering from not feeling good enough.
If you are arrogant launching pre-emptive attacks on others so they can’t hurt you first-you are suffering from not feeling good enough.

If you are self deprecating, believing you are simply flat out not as good as other people-you are suffering from not feeling good enough.

If you live in constant fear and insecurity-you are suffering from not feeling good enough.

If you have a public personal that you hide behind afraid to share your true self then you probably feel that you aren’t good enough-you are suffering from not feeling good enough.

What Happens When You Don’t Feel Good Enough
And when you feel that you aren’t good enough, you are afraid to show up in life-and as Woody Allen says, “Eighty percent of success is showing up!” So, how can you be successful?

And if you do show up, you’ll be a wreck because you’ll live in fear of making a mistake and they’ll see that you aren’t good enough and that it was all a charade and you’ll be BUSTED!

Or, you’ll sabotage it to prove you aren’t good enough and because you don’t believe you deserve it.

How to Overcome Not Feeling Good Enough

Step #1. Recognize that that is the underlying thought in all of the above.

Step #2. Rebut the inner critic, which can assault you in several ways.

-by downplaying your successes (“My book is okay, but it’s not as good as it could be.”)
-generalizing unrealistically (“My book is awful, who do I think believing I could do this, I shouldn’t even try to be an author?”)

-making illogical leaps (“Since my first book didn’t do very well, I’ll NEVER make any money writing.”)

-catastrophizing (“There is so much missing from my book, no one will ever buy it.”-when you’ve given a lot of good content)

Step #3. Practice Compassion with yourself
- Forgive yourself when you don’t do as well as you had hoped.
- Be aware of your emotions

You can Practice Afformations-I’ve been using them
and they are better than affirmations
(You can purchase this great little book on them at:

tinyurl.com/change-my-beliefs

Use EFT (Short for Emotional Freedom Technique)
Meditation
Tai Chi
Yoga
(Whatever works for you!)
-Remember that you are human and humans make mistakes!

Step #4. Enlist Help from Others
-Collect testimonials and put them where you can see them every day.
-Join a supportive mastermind group
-Purchase a program that comes with a supportive online group and kills two birds with one stone (Gain confidence by getting the results and success you deserve along with a supportive online group.)

The two I recommend are: 3 Days to eBook Cash www.3dayebookcash.com/order and The Rich Author’s Roadmap to Success www.richauthorsroadmap.com/order depending on your needs

-Talk to a therapist.I know an excellent one in the San-Diego Area who is very reasonably priced. Her name is Bettina Roberts and you can get a free consultation with her to start. She uses a holistic approach in coaching because she believes, as I do, that the mind, body and soul are all connected to our happiness and success in life and she works long distance.

Bettina helps break through barriers such as fear and indecision to name a few, and helps her clients in becoming their authentic selves and fulfilling their life purpose and dreams. So give her a call at: 858 337-9746

If you think you aren’t good enough, you will put limits on yourself and you will NOT succeed in a big way. So, if any of these thought forms or behavior sound familiar, please take action and figure out if you suffer from not feeling good enough and if so, how you can change it because you ARE good enough and you DESERVE everything that you want in life! And only YOU can make it happen.
