eBook Writing: So, You Want To Write An eBook, But….

Maybe you don’t have the right motivation,  you don’t have the right information, or you think you don’t have the time. No matter the reason,  the result is the same, your ebook isn’t getting written.  So, how do you make it happen?

Write this down: what you focus on expands.

So, if you truly want to write an ebook, you have to focus on it, and make it a priority; that’s half the battle. If you’re finding it difficult to do that, then you need to find the motivation to do it.

Maybe you’re exhausted, working too hard,  and  you really want  to create passive income.

Maybe you want to increase your credibility and expert status, so you can charge more and get more opportunities.

Maybe you want to use it to build a list FAST because the money is in the list.

Or, to make some quick cash.

Whatever it is, figure it out, and make sure it’s bigger than your fear of moving forward, otherwise it won’t work.

Once you do that, figure out what the next step is.  Do you need to make time to write your ebook? If so, put writing dates on your calendar and stick to them. Then, reward yourself for following through.  Also, figure out what you will have to do if you DON’T follow through.  (It’s the carrot and stick approach.)

Too many people jump into ebook writing without giving it the thought it deserves- if you want to EXPLODE your ebook profits. They focus on writing a single ebook
 when they should explore whether what they want to write about can be turned into 
a whole series, and ultimately a whole brand.

For example, Chicken Soup for the Soul, Rich Dad Poor Dad, and Skinny Girl. 
Each of these books are part of whole industries!

Chicken Soup for the Soul has a pet-food line, a publishing company, a game company, toys, calendars, DVD’s, and more.

Rich Dad, Poor Dad sponsors financial workshop, and coaching, as well as having
several Rich Dad, Poor Dad books.

And, Skinny Girl, has a line of cocktails, skin-care products, undergarments, 
workout accessories, workout DVD’s, a personal-training package, as well as a
series of books.

To see your ebook as a stepping stone to a whole brand, you have to think about your
title not just as a title but also as a concept that you can build a whole series around.

It has to be a title that can support several different sub-titles and still make sense.

And it has to be a concept that catches the imagination of the reading public and
makes them want to keep coming back for more.

In addition, it has to have the ability to support a variety of products and/or services that will allow you to branch out beyond the original ebooks or books.

When you put serious thought into your concept, your title and your brand, 
you can
create a structure for a 6- or 7-, or even 8-figure business starting with a
single ebook! 
So, before you write your next ebook, figure out how you can expand
it into a series as
well as other products and services.

When you do that, it will be a lot easier to profit from your ebooks and it will get easier 
and easier to sell your other products and services as well.

eBook Marketing: 5 Quick And Easy Ways To Sell More eBooks!

  1. Put a free excerpt of your ebook on Kindle, then review other ebooks in your niche and send them to your free excerpt at the end of the review (There’s a button on the review form that allows you to do this automatically!)
  2. Add your ebook title and link to your signature. You never know who is going to want your ebook!
  3. Promote your ebook in a post  on Facebook. Facebook will ask you if you’d like to create an ad for the post. Do it!  It’s     inexpensive, easy to do and will get you more exposure.
  4.  Find a group in your niche on Facebook that has a lot of members. Contact the administrator and ask if you can give     your ebook excerpt or special report away for free to the group.  Promote your ebook in the freebie. Make sure you send people to an opt in page before giving them the ebook so you get their name and email address.
  5. Arrange a sweepstakes. Ask people to buy your ebook on Kindle then send you the receipt to be entered into a sweepstakes. Then give away something valuable to 1-3 people who entered.

5 Questions You MUST Answer Before Writing Your eBook For Guaranteed Success!

#1. Decide who is your audience? Who are you writing to? Adults? Men? Women? Students? Business Professional? Moms, Teachers? Kids? Who is your reader? Not the buyer. The reader. Who is your audience?

#2. Once you know who your audience is, list 10 words that describe your (e)book.  What is the personality of your book? Is it inspirational? Motivational? Humorous? Step-by-Step? , Eye-opening? Daring?  When I started writing  my book, I knew that my book was going to be a step-by-step, easy-to-read book, clear and concise. I wanted it to be fun. Easy to read and I wanted  people to pick it up and say “Yes, I can do this!”  And that’s how I described my book.

#3. Now the third thing you want to do is you want to list the 10 bullet points,  or benefits that the reader will get from reading your ebook. What will your reader achieve when they read your (e)book? At the end of the (e)book, what results will they get? What will they know?

#4. Describe your (e)book-what is your (e)book about? What do you want to have these two or three sentences say? You’ll want to have them memorized so when somebody asked you, “What are you up to? What have you been doing?” You can respond with “I’ve written a (e)book”. When they ask what it’s about, describe your book to them. That’s your pitch. You want to be able to describe your book in a heartbeat……

#5 Now the fifth thing you want to do is write down why your book is different than others on your subject. Why is your book different? What is unique about your book?

If you can answer these 5 questions, you will be on your way to ebook success!

The 3-Step Formula For eBook & Business Success!

According to “Guru to the Gurus”, Rich Schefren, there are 3 Keys to Success; how you balance core business activities, value creation and marketing.

It doesn’t matter which strategies you use as long as you’re balancing your core business activities, value creation and marketing. So, what does that mean?

Core business activities in your business means there are things that only you can do that set you apart and that make you the expert in whatever it is that you’re doing. Those are your core business activities. In other words, I could hire somebody who could take my webinars and present them, but, nobody else could create them-only I can-it’s my thoughts, my ideas, my core expertise.

Next is value creation. People have to feel that what they’re getting is worth a lot more than they’re paying. I remember when I first started and I remember people would say, “Well, you have to give bonuses and you have to give value.” I thought I was giving a lot of value, but there was still that part of me that was sort of stingy like, “I don’t want to give that, that’s too much.”

And then, what happened was more and more people got on the Internet, people started discounting, and then you really have to understand what your value is because otherwise you’ll end up doing what everyone else is doing.
